Enterprise Electronics Corporation Awarded Contract to Supply State-of-the-Art SIDPOL® Radar Network to South Korea
EEC in partnership with the STX Engine Co., Ltd. (Seoul, South Korea), was awarded a five-year contract from the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA). EEC, the winner of this international competition, is to supply eleven (11) advanced Sband Klystron Doppler weather radars featuring EEC's exclusive patented SIDPOL® technology. The order value is estimated to be worth 31,399,958,000 KRW, equivalent to USD $27.8M. KMA's mission underlying this procurement was the need to realize advanced meteorological services to be on-time, accurate and valuable, thereby encouraging the promotion of public safety and national economic growth. The acquisition of cutting-edge EEC SIDPOL® technology for the radar network will provide the tools for better weather detection and classification.
Enterprise Electronics Corporation Team Chosen to Modernize the Swedish Weather Radar Network
EEC, together with the Swedish defense and security company Saab, has received a six-year contract from the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) and the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) for the period 2012-2017. The contract includes the modernization of all twelve weather radar stations in Sweden and the order value, including options, is estimated to be worth SEK 100 million (USD $13.8M).
